Fairs, Family, & Fun
Well I had a PERFECT WEEKEND... probably because I didn't have to work at Subway...ha ha ha! ;) On Friday Jonny, my dad, my cousin Jim, and I went to imperial buffet. I absolutely LOVE buffets and usually leave feeling like I just ate an ELEPHANT!!!! We were planning on going to my aunt and uncles house for dessert after for a family get together. My dad said "stay away from the dessert...you need to save room for later." Ha ha...telling me that is TORTURE! They had little cups of mousse...the best mousse you could EVER EVER IMAGINE! I couldn't resist...!!! But it's ok I still ate dessert later :). Saturday morning I went with Jonny's family to a memorial lunch for one of Jonny's uncles who passed away a few months ago. It was good. I met his uncle once but didn't really remember him but from all the speeches you can tell that he made a BIG impact on people's lives! I went to Jonny's house after and he needed to go out to get a present for Father's day. So we took Abi out with us and after we finished shopping Jonny pulled into the parking lot that had a FAIR! I got excited cuz I LOVVVEEEE rides and when we went to the Brooklin Spring Fair a couple wks ago we didn't get a chance to go on rides :(.! Only Jonny would lose our tickets TWICE!...AND tickets aren't exactly CHEAP either! lol He found them in his pocket the first time but the second time we couldn't find the 3 tickets ANYWHERE! I saw three tickets blowing around and said "I FOUND THEM!!!!!" Then one of the workers at the fair said to us "Oh, you finally got the tickets that have been blowing around for the last 15 minutes...!" So...apparently they weren't even OUR tickets ...cuz we hadn't been missing our tickets that long. Oh Jonny, Jonny, Jonny...;) We went on 3 rides but Jonny sat out for one ride...the worst...or BEST... ride of all...I can't decide! Ha ha! I went on the ride with Abi and it looked like a pretty tame ride from when we watched it before ....and THEN we got on it. It was kinda a spinning up and down sort of ride...I think it is the FASTEST ride I have ever been on in my life! My cheeks were SUCKED back from the force LOL AND I'm pretty sure I DROOLED lol...! Abi & I could NOT stop laughing and I actually could not HOLD my head UP! lol...it was flinging all over the place and I wanted the ride to end sooooo bad but at the same time it was incredibly fun! I love that Jonny does little things like taking me to the fair and other things to make me happy! He is SOO good to me! Yesterday (Sunday) was a great day at church, of course! :D Today was an absolutely GREAT night of teaching! That student who used to answer every question I asked her by saying "OBVIOUSLY" in a not so nice tone has literally become a new kid! She answers me properly and is so good now! She literally RAN into her lesson and her mom told me she was SO EXCITED to come! She is FAR more fun to teach when she is good! She got to choose a prize from my prize box today so she chose a stuffed lion! She was absolutely IN LOVE with the lion. We were doing a practice exam and we got to her clapback. I always tell my students to listen to what I play the first time...and then the second time tap quietly on their leg so when they clap it, it will be easier to clap since they already tapped it. She grabbed her lion off the piano and said "IS it ok if the LION taps on my leg?" ...ha ha ha! I told her for TODAY the lion could tap on her leg! lol! She is my last student to do an exam (Although I have only taught her the last month so she is not TECHNICALLY my student) which means tomorrow I don't have to STRESS about student's exams anymore! Yay! My students have done great so far! One student got a 91% which I did not even know was POSSIBLE on piano exams...but I guess it is...I was just never good enough to get in the 90s on an exam! ha ha ha! Well I will end off by saying...my head is in the clouds tonight! I feel like I am one of the most blessed people in the world in so many ways! God has blessed me beyond I ever could have imagined!
