Why hello sun...I have missed your beautiful face! :)

FINALLY....SOME SUN! Today was a beautiful day outside! I sat outside and read. I felt like I was getting a tan and then came inside and had a RASH INSTEAD!!!!!!! HA HA HA ! How embarrassing :S ! I have never gotten a rash from the sun before.

This morning subway called me and tried to convince me that my new availability said I could work today & past 4 tomorrow. I have no idea where that even came from since I am UNAVAILABLE on mondays and can ONLY work til 3 on tuesdays because of piano both days. Ah well. I just will not give in! Last year I ended up working on a Monday before going to teach piano and said this is a "one time thing" (It just gets to be too much with working at subway in the morning and teaching piano til 9 at night :S). The "one time thing" turned into a phone call every single Sunday NIGHT for the next month and a half that went like this "Cheryl, we really, really need you tomorrow and I know you are not usually available but just for this ONE TIME...." And every....single...time....I said YES! I felt bad if I said no! This time I am STANDING strong! I have TWO jobs and have a set availability for both jobs so that I don't get double booked! I will not GIVE IN :).

Tonight was a good night of teaching piano. Last monday at this time I was celebrating my grad :), so I hadn't seen my students for 2 wks and it's sometimes nice to have a week off :) it makes the next week even more fun :) One of my students who has missed OVER HALF his lessons finally showed up today after not coming for 5 wks. He started off the lesson by telling me hadn't practiced....in 5 WEEKS.... :S....THEN lied to me....Then when I told him THREE TIMES not to do something....He did it anyways....When I told him to stop...He didn't ....When I tried to help him with something he pretended to pay attention but when I said the same thing two minutes later he said "whaaaat? I didn't know that"...."I JUST TOLD YOU!!!!!" But I kept my cool...and inwardly cheered at the end of that 30 min lesson. I love teaching.....but there are moments when I want to sit at the piano bench....put the kid in the my chair...and say "Hey, teach me since you don't need my help or listen to what I say anyways" GROWL!

You would think after both my stories that my day was bad...but really...it was great :) It's just my bad stories are far more exciting than my good ones! :) But now I need some good things to outwiegh my bad :) Lyss & I talked to Jenn & Michael on facebook....and Michael waved to us :) Then Lyss and I swayed back and forth and sang some siamese cat song off some disney movie and Michael started swaying TOO ! HA HA! Hannah & I went to some second hand store right by Durham and it was a complete waste of time but I have always wanted to go in there, so I can cross that off my list :) We ended up going to the convenience store after and buying creamsicles :). ANNNNNNNNNNNND all my students showed up tonight! That hardly EVER happens on a Monday.... :D. Ok now I can leave on a happy note :)
